Description:
The size, distribution and concentration of CdSe nanocrystals
can be determined inputting only absorbance spectra values
such as the position of the first exciton and the FWHM of
the first exciton. This is done using a second-order-in-energy
correction of the Brus equation to experimentally measured
optical absorbance and TEM data. The result is a reproducible
method of obtaining NC sizes by forcing a theoretical trend
through experimental data.
