FSU Organic Chemist Receives NSF Grant to Study Alkyne Reactivity

Prof. Igor Alabugin has received a 3-year, $375,000 grant from the NSF Division of Chemistry for investigation of stereoelectronic effects in alkyne cyclizations and cycloadditions. This research aims to discover new ways for using alkynes in organic synthesis and bioorthogonal chemistry via a combination of computational methods and experimental work.
