Xubin Li Wins the ACS Chemical Computing Group Excellence Award

Xubin Li, a graduate student in the Yang group was recently awarded ACS Chemical Computing Group (CCG) Excellence Award. The award is given “on the basis of the quality and significance of the research to be presented at he Fall 2016 ACS national meeting, as well as the strength of the supporting letter and other materials”. Xubin was awarded for his seminal work titled "Predictive Sampling of Long-Timescale Protein Functional Motions in Explicit Solvent”. Xubin will receive $1,150 to offset his travel expense, as well as a copy of CCG's Molecular Operating Environment software with a one-year license. In addition, he will be honored during a ceremony at the COMP division poster session at Philadelphia.
