Research Interest

Research Expertise and Interests

I am interested in the basic and applied research of polymers and especially water soluble charged polymers - polyelectrolytes. Assembly of polyelectrolytes into multilayer thin films and the study of chemical, mechanical, electrochemical and physical properties of theses films. The use of polyelectrolyte multilayers (PEMUs) in biochemical and medical applications, as substrates for cell culture and cell differentiation in bio-compatible and bio-repellent surfaces. The use of PEMUs in chemical and biological sensors for low limit of detection and highly selective sensors applications.
