Chronicles of Spin and Light (Could be IR in the future)<\/span><\/h3>\n

After vibrating in between two mirrors, HM decided to spin around under the Florida sunshine.<\/em><\/p>\n

2026 July<\/strong><\/p>\n

The month of July is extremely productive, Lautaro<\/u> ended his visit with fruitful results on CHSH inequality, which we are looking forward to implementing in the near future. We also measured the first CW-ODMR spectrum with our home-built setup at room temperature on a sample that is neither NV center nor pentacene doped terphenyl!<\/p>\n

2026 June<\/strong><\/p>\n

The visiting undergraduate student Lautaro Ferreira<\/u> joined the lab. Lautaro<\/u> will be working on theory<\/p>\n

2026 May<\/strong><\/p>\n

The undergraduate student Kendall Proper<\/u> joined the lab. The laser enclosure is finally built. The enclosure is completely built by our group member Shuangqing<\/u>, Dhruv<\/u> and Ryan<\/u> over a few months. The process started with the design, purchase of 20\/80, connecting over 100 pieces together and finally installing two HEPPA filters for dust control.<\/p>\n

2026 March<\/strong><\/p>\n

Brendan Emm<\/u> left the group. We wish him good luck.<\/p>\n

2026 February<\/strong><\/p>\n

We fixed the nanosecond laser in the Maglab and set up the transient CW\/Pulse EPR.<\/p>\n

2026 January<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our laser and OPA from the Light Conversion is installed.<\/p>\n

2025 December<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dr. Shuangqing Wang<\/u> joined the lab as a postdoctoral researcher. The glovebox and the solvent system are both fully functional with the help of him.<\/p>\n

2025 November<\/strong><\/p>\n

Two graduate students Jenna O’Neal<\/u> and Brendan Emm<\/u> joined the group. The laser tables, glovebox and solvent system arrived, all graduate students and undergraduate students helped set them up.<\/p>\n

2025 October<\/strong><\/p>\n

Three undergraduate students Ryan Magee<\/u>, Jason Demetrius<\/u>\u00a0 and Dhruv Tyagi<\/u> joined the group. Dhruv built three Schlenk lines for the group.<\/p>\n

The Mao Lab is founded. Lab address: 2001 Levy Ave (IRCB Second Floor), Tallahassee FL, 32310.<\/p>\n
