12-month Teaching Faculty I
The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry at Florida State University invites applications for a full-time, 12-month faculty position to teach General Chemistry and Analytical Chemistry lecture courses beginning Summer 2026. This is a continuing non-tenure track faculty position with opportunities for promotion. Applicants are required to have a PhD or highest-level terminal degree from an accredited institution in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a closely related field or equivalent qualifications based on professional experience. Applicants must possess a demonstrated specialty or teaching experience with Analytical Chemistry. The successful candidate’s primary responsibilities will include teaching General Chemistry and other undergraduate chemistry courses, with the opportunity to contribute to courses in Analytical Chemistry, depending on departmental needs. This individual will be expected to engage in curriculum development and continuous improvement of instructional materials, as well as provide service to the Department, College, and University.
